For those that were able to enjoy the holidays without overindulging, good for you and those that faltered have an opportunity to get back on track today! This isn’t as easy as some make it out to be. You have to be prepared to let go of old food buddies and have the fortitude to stand your ground and reiterate: “You just don’t eat like that anymore!”
The old saying ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’, rings so true right now. Think about it, how many years did it take you to get where you are today. You must realize by now there are no quick fixes, no miracle drug or pill that will do the work for you. Yes, there are many fad diets out there that advertisers are very happy to sell you that will cause you to lose weight, but it’s not sustainable.
Now you have to make the time to make this a priority for yourself. Give yourself one year to learn how to lose your weight forever and then practice with the tools you’ll acquire from the many men that have undertaken a similar journey here to guide you on your path to a healthier you!
Make 2018 the year you get your health back. Remember to make this a priority for yourself and your future self will be very grateful. For you to achieve your appropriate weight, you must believe in this project. Teams rarely win if they don’t believe in the strategy that their coach has devised.
Roger Bannister ran hundreds of miles and trained endlessly, driven by his belief that he could break the four-minute mile. When he became the first man to run a mile in less than four minutes, others realized that it was possible, and in no time others had broken the mark, because of Roger’s determined belief that it could be done.
If you believe, as myself and others have that the 20/20 program makes sense and that you will succeed then you’ll be willing to put in the extra effort, even when you encounter setbacks. Believe that you will succeed.
